Thurmond H. Myers , 84 of Canaan Community, Cope died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Rev. Alan Woodward directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Canaan Baptist Church Adult Sunday School Class
He was born May 2, 1931 in Cope, SC; the son of the late J. M. Myers and the late Jessie Belle Myers-Myers. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church; retired from J.F. Cleckley. He was the widower of the late Carolyn H. Myers and was preceded in death by a 4 brothers; Monroe Myers, Albert "Red" Myers, M.C. Myers and Smith "Buck" Myers; 1 sister; Clara Myers.
SURVIVORS include 2 sisters; Annie Mae Bessinger of Cope and Jennie Sue Feller of Jacksonville, FL 2 step-sons; David and Barbara Bonnett of Neeses and John and Shirley Wolfe of Cope; 1 step-daughter; Kim and Bucky Meyer of Santee; a number of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
FRIENDS may call at the residence of his sister; Annie Mae Bessinger; 161 Yesterday's Lane, Cope and at the funeral home.
VISITATION will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
