It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Timothy “Tim” Ray McCormick announces his sudden and tragic passing.
Tim was born in Orangeburg, S.C. He was the son of Mr. Johny McCormick and Mrs. Joyce Edgemon McCormick. His family was his life; Tim was a devoted husband and father. He was a self-less person that put everyone else’s needs ahead of his own. He was a loyal friend to many, that found joy making others smile. He was talented in many areas of life and instilled this in his children.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Laurie “Michele” McCormick of the home; children, Amber Michele McCormick, Austin Ray McCormick both of St. Matthews; parents, Johny and Joyce McCormick; brother, Steve (Minnie) McCormick of McBee, S.C. and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Jerusalem United Methodist Church,7347 Old #6 Highway, Santee. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Pastor Dustin Bates will be officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Austin McCormick, Steve McCormick, Doug McCormick, Chris Rowell, Kimothy Williams, Danny Griffin and Ryan Traver.
The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service in the church social hall.
