Tom L. Doyle, Sr. , 93 of St. Matthews died Wednesday, December 13, 2017
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday before the service at the church at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Jamison with burial in the church cemetery with Rev. Scott Wagoner officiating.
Pallbearers are Bobby Griffith, Jim Woods, Ike Kittrell, Chad Lowder, Mike Onorato, Dwayne Pigate and Jaye Woods.
Mr. Tom was born July 5, 1924 in St. George, SC; the son of the late Alfred T. Doyle and the late Kathleen Hartzog Doyle. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and was retired from the S.C. Highway Department after 34 years of service as a highway patrolman. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was the widower of the late Mary Doyle and was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Terry Doyle.
Survivors include 4 daughters; Sandra (Bernie) Medley of St. Matthews; Linda King of Charleston, Frankie (Mike) McElveen of Manning; Blanche (Jim) Gauld of Lexington;1 son; Tom L. (Helen) Doyle, Jr. of St. Matthews; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grand-children; 1 brother; Kenneth Doyle of St. George.
