Vernon William Kizer

Vernon William Kizer of Elloree passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, at MUSC in Orangeburg.

Vernon was born on March 27, 1947, in Dorchester County.  He was the son of the late Vernon McConnell and Annie Mizzell Kizer.  Vernon graduated in 1966 from Elloree High School.  After high school, he returned to the family farm and family-owned business, Kizer’s garage, until his retirement.  He was a member of Pine Grove Lutheran Church in Lone Star, S.C.

Survivors include his daughter, Rebekkah K. (Jeb) Brailsford and several grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Pine Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lone Star.  Chaplain Justin Cook will be officiating.
