Veronica Marie (Wood) Dees

Veronica Marie Wood Dees, 53, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. Burial will follow at Cameron Memorial Gardens in Cameron. Rev. James Lewis will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brian Wood, Kevin Granger, Charles Dees, Daniel Dees, Travis Kinard.
Mrs. Dees was born on October 29, 1963 in Pickens, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Robert Dealer Wood and the late Patricia Ann Nabors Wood. Mrs. Dees attained her Master’s Degree from Charleston Southern University and taught French in the public-school system for many years.
Survivors include her husband, David D. Dees of Cameron; daughter, Emmanuelle Dees of Cameron; sons, Charles R. Dees of Cameron and Daniel Dees of Columbia; sister, Teresa Granger of Easley; brother, Brian Wood of Brevard, N.C. and a special pet, Tila.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00p on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
