Retired Chief Petty Officer Wade Anderson Davis, 77 passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
The Casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2017 Providence Baptist Church near Orangeburg with burial at the church cemetery with Rev. Kimmett Lott and Rev. Ken Hay officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Andy Orrey, Jason Orrey, Kevin Davis, Anthony Davis, Ryan Ferguson and Daryl Davis.
He was born June 18, 1939 in Richmond, VA; the son of the late Emmett Haywood Davis and the late Dorothy Pearl Whitlock Davis. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer after 20 years of service. He was also a Photographer for the Times and Democrat Newspaper. He was preceded in death by a son; Wade Davis, Jr. and by a daughter Robin Edmond.
Survivors include his wife; Blanch Boltin Davis of the home; his children; Diana Waltz (Robert); Aaron Davis (Angie); Michael Davis (Shelly); Bryan Davis (Peggy) and Christopher Davis; also a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
