Wallace J. Wise, a devoted family man passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, with his family by his side.
Born on March 9, 1949, Mr. Wise dedicated many years to his career, as a machine operator in the manufacturing industry, where he earned respect and admiration for his steadfast work ethic. He was a diehard USC Gamecock fan.
Mr. Wise was known foremost for his deep love for his family. His presence was a source of strength and comfort to those who knew him, and his legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Pam Gillam Wise. Together, they shared a life filled with cherished moments and mutual respect.
He is also survived by his daughters, Becky Wise and Kim Gillam. The joy he found in family extended to his grandchildren: Zachary Duncan, Aaliyah Glover, Aaron Glover, and Aavion Glover.
His close family circle also includes his brothers, Jimmy Wise (Jennie) and Teddy Wise (Marlene), both of Bamberg, and his sister, Anita Jordan of Beaufort. Mr. Wise also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and an extended network of family and friends who will remember him fondly.
Mr. Wise was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Sara Dyches Wise, his sister, Brenda Wise and a brother, Danny Wise.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Church of God of Prophecy, 425 Log Branch Road Bamberg. Burial will follow at Ghents Branch Baptist Church, 1974 Ghents Branch Rd. Denmark. Pastor June Still will be officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Thompson Funeral Home, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Zachary Duncan, Wiley Wise, Chris Wise, Christopher Jordan, Jonathan Wise and Chris Mills.
Memorials in Mr. Wallace's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Wallace J. Wise’s life was one of loyalty, dedication, and heartfelt family connections. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
