Walter Ellison Kemmerlin, Sr.

Walter Ellison Kemmerlin, Sr., 64, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Columbia Road Church of God in Orangeburg. Pastor Keith L. Vaughn will be officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Dillion Williamson, Justin Hiatt, David Nettles, Levern Fanning, Richard Carpenter and Jason Crawley.
Mr. Kemmerlin was born August 28, 1952 in Orangeburg, S.C. He was the son of the late Walter Wise Kemmerlin, Jr. and Nelda Vallentine Kemmerlin. He worked at Okonite as a fork lift operator. Mr. Kemmerlin also served in the United States National Guard.
Survivors include his mother, Nelda Vallentine Kemmerlin; daughters, Allison Hiatt (Matt) of Orangeburg and Leslie LeeAnn Williamson (Rusty) of North; son, Walter Ellison Kemmerlin, Jr. (Crystal) of North Carolina; 6 grandchildren; sisters Ann Crawley (Gary) of Orangeburg; Nancy Kay Hammond of Myrtle Beach; a special niece, Machen Fanning (Levern) of Cordova and a number of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Columbia Road Church of God prior to the funeral service.
