Weldon McNair Till, Sr., 77 of Darien, GA died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Orangeburg.

A Private Memorial Service will be held 9:00 am Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Four Holes Amphitheatre in Orangeburg. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg is assisting the family.

He was born December 1, 1935 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late Harry Freeman Till and the late Hazel Herlong Till. He served in the National Guard and was formerly a member of Four Holes Baptist Church. He was self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was an avid vegetable gardener. He loved gardening and sharing vegetables with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son; William Irvin Till, Sr.; a grandson; William Irvin Till, Jr.; a great granddaughter; Madison Taylor O'Cain ; and a brother; Wendell Till.

Survivors include a longtime loving companion; Elizabeth Waltman of Darien, GA; 2 daughters; Robin Till Bishop (George) of Orangeburg; Sheri O'Cain (Bruce) of Orangeburg; 1 son; Weldon McNair Till, Jr. (Brenda) of Florida; Grandchildren; Stacy, Shawn, Casey, Mandy, Chris, Amy and Brandon; great grandchildren; Kaylin, Brandon, Austin, Jordan, Colby, Caleb, Cade, Gracyn, Dalton, Bryson and Haley; 1 brother; Wayne Till (Ursula) of Orangeburg; 2 step-children; Ronald Waltman, Jr. (Mary) and Lynn Wilkes. (Roy) and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence of Bruce and Sheri O'Cain; 232 O'Cain Lane; Orangeburg.
