Wendie Lyn Boddie

Wendie Lyn Boddie, 55, of Columbia, S.C. passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

A family service will be held on April 30, 2023, at 2 pm at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer located at 714 Riverdale Dr. Charleston, SC 29407.

Wendie was born on August 18, 1967, in Charleston.  She was the daughter of James Matthew Boddie, Jr. and Sandra Jannelle Marks.  Wendie loved her family and friends very much and was nice to anyone who met her. She was very independent and extremely strong. She was also free spirited, selfless and a caring soul. She would always put others before herself and loved animals. She lived day by day and laughed a lot. Wendie was one of the funniest, friendliest people you would have ever known.

Survivors include her daughter, Heather Jannelle Mitchell of Charleston; grandchildren, Mason Winegardner, Ethan Winegardner, Adelyn Bonds; mother, Sandra Marks of Charleston; father, James Boddie, Jr. of Charleston; brother, James Boddie, III of Charleston, niece, LeAnn Boddie of Charleston.
