William "Rick" "Billy" Preston Rickenbaker

William "Rick" "Billy" Preston Rickenbaker, Sr., 75 of Orangeburg died Friday, July 19, 2013 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with a reception following at Memorial Church of Nazarene, 569 Berry Street Orangeburg, SC 29115. Rev. Billy Williams will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Russell O'Cain, Steven Hallinquest, James Moorer, Greg McIntosh, Tristan McIntosh

He was born September 15, 1937 in Laurens, SC; the son of the late Marion Rickenbaker and the late Mary Davis Rickenbaker Ford. He was retired from the Times and Democrat with 55 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son Brandon Rickenbaker and 2 brothers; Bobby Rickenbaker and Frank Davis.

Survivors include his children; William (Stacey) Rickenbaker, Jr. of Columbia, Mike Rickenbaker and Randy Rickenbaker both of Orangeburg; Pamela (Greg) McIntosh of Atlanta, GA; Sarah (Ira) James of Bamberg; 2 brothers; Richard (Tooty) Rickenbaker and Kenny Kesson both of Rowesville; 1 sister; Ann R. Thompson of Rowesville; 6 grandchildren; Melissa Rickenbaker Dickson, Preston Rickenbaker, Mandy Rickenbaker Reitze, Maranda Rickenbaker; Tristan Rickenbaker and Farrah McIntosh and 8 great grandchildren; Brittany McDaniel, Jaden McDaniel, Korbin Rickenbaker, Madison Rickenbaker, Gabriel Reitz, Liam Reitz, Alana Krysdon Rickenbaker and Brandon Karl Rickenbaker.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
