William E. Browning, Sr

Mr. Browning, 73, of Elloree, S.C. passed away peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. Rev. Cindy C. Strock and Herman Marchant will be officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Elloree, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Mr. Browning's grandchildren, Samantha Mizell, Chris Mizell Delane Hughes, Katin Perez, Dakota Perez, Justin Browning, Joe'L Browning and Bryan Zeigler. Honarary Pallbearers will be Ricky Valentine, Marvin Valentine and Ed Langston.

He was born on March 15, 1943. He was the son of the late Labon Asia Browning, Sr. and the late Catherine Ulmer Browning. He was a retired truck driver. He loved his family, the outside and riding his horses at the farm. He was predeceased by three sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elaine Marchant Browning; children, Janice Browning Perez (Joey) and William E. "Billy" Browning, Jr. (Amanda) all of Elloree, S.C.; grandchildren, Samantha Hughes Mizell (Chris), Delane Hughes, Katin Perez, Dakota Perez, Justin Browning, Joe'L Browning and Bryan Zeigler, ; great grandchildren, Brayden and Kloie Mizell and Brielle Zeigler; sisters Jennie B. Valentine and Glennie B. Langston and a number of nieces and nephews; special friend, Bennie Bair, Jr. "Buddy".

A special thanks to family, friends and the staff of Grove Park Hospice.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. A short visitation will also be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. prior to the funeral service.
