William R. "Bill" Hunter Sr, 74, of Harleyville, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Wells officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in Orangeburg
Mr. Hunter was born March 24, 1942 in Oklahoma, a son of the late William Edwood Hunter and the late Inez Inabinet Hunter Mercer. He served in U. S. Army. He was preceeded in death by a brother Ralph Allen Hunter, Sr.
Survivors include his wife; Patricia Benton Hunter of Summerville; 1 son, William Robert Hunter, Jr. of Olar; 1 daughter, Holly and Joe Groenenboom of Williston; 1 grandson, Cameron E. Hunter of Orangeburg; a special friend and the mother of his children, Julia R. Hunter of Olar; 1 sister, Lynda C.(Timothy) Hunter of Cummings GA, brother, Phillip M. Hunter of Fountain Inn.
