William L. Kuck

William Legare Kuck, Sr., 72, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 10, 2025.

William was born on August 29, 1952, in Charleston, S.C.  He was the son of the late Louis F. Kuck and the late Azalee Smoak Kuck.  He graduated from Edisto High School in Cordova, S.C.  He worked in the grocery business for over thirty years before opening the Kuckery in July of 1999.  He was an avid Clemson Football fan and loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Beth I. Kuck of the home; a son, Lee Kuck (Gina) of Clyde, N.C.; two daughters, Jennifer K. Weeks (Jesse) of Branchville, Anna Kate Kuck of the home; two sisters, Cheryl Wise (Cleve), Marie Breland (Jerry) both of Cordova; six grandchildren, Parker Kuck (Shelby), Jessica Steiner (Jackson), Nicholas and Seth Goodwin, Ashlee Weeks, Sophia Kuck; a great-grandson, Canton Ray “Little Man” Steiner; a sister-in-law, Becky Kuck; brother-in-law, Chip Irick (Shirley) of Pelion; mother-in-law, Julie Irick and a number of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Allen Kuck and Carl Kuck and father-in-law, L.W. Irick.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Larry Williams will be officiating.
