Mrs. Zella M. Craven, 96 of 1180 Wolfe Trail;

Orangeburg died Wednesday morning

February 12, 2014 at the Jolly Acres Health Care Center in

Orangeburg.

Visitation will be held 3:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday before the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014

at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Memorial

Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Rev. Keith Vaughn officiating.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Michael Earl Craven, Richard Wayne

Craven, Ronald Murray Craven, Jerry Myer Craven, Everett Blake Lyons

and nephew, Ralph Craven.

Mrs. Craven was born January 18, 1918 in Orangeburg, a daughter of the

late Benjamin Franklin Mills and the late Sally Shirer Mills.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Murray Craven; 2 sons;

Earl Craven, Jerry Myer Craven, Sr., daughter-in-law; Elaine Jennings

Craven; four sisters; Lucille Crosby, Lillie Brant, Rosa Lee Moody, and

Magdeline Kinsey; brothers; Robert Mills and Theodore Arthur (T.A.) Mills.

Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law; John Fletcher (Faye) Craven, Sr.

of Lexington; one daughter-in-law; Sylvia Craven (Henry) Williamson of

Orangeburg; eight grandchildren; Barbara Craven Lyons, Michael Earl Craven,

Richard Wayne Craven, Ronald Murray Craven, Alice Darlene Craven and John

Fletcher (Johnny) Craven, Jr., Kimberly (Kim) Elizabeth Myers and Jerry Myer

Craven, Jr.; brothers; Benjamin Franklin (Junior) Mills of Orangeburg and Charles

(Bud) Mills of Goddard, Kansas; 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-greatchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Columbia Road Church of God; 2785 Columbia Road;

Orangeburg, SC 29118 or to a charity of one's choice.

The family would like to express our thanks for the prayers and Christian love

shown to the family and Zella Craven during her stay at Jolly Acres Nursing home.

A Special thanks to Dr. Vann Beth Shuler and to the nurses and staff for their

wonderful love and care given to her.
