Adam Clyde Smoak, Jr., 88, of Cordova passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020, after many years of declining health, and COVID-19.
Mr. Smoak was born on December 13, 1931 in Hilda, S. C., the only child of the late Adam Clyde Smoak, Sr., and the late Mamie Black Smoak. Mr. Smoak was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Smoak worked for many years at Applied Engineering. He was a talented wood-worker and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
His survivors include his wife of 67 years, Betty Smoak, of the home, daughter, Brenda (Sam) Timms of Winnsboro, one son, James Allen Smoak (fiance', Susan), two granddaughters, Carrie Timms, and Melanie Smoak, and one great-grandson, Oliver.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The family would like to express thanks to the many health care professions at The Regional Medical Center and all the many friends for their love and support during this difficult time.
