Barbara (Smith) Felder

Barbara Smith Felder passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 P.M. on October 5, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Ryan Tucker will be officiating.

She was predeceased by her mother, Ruby Stroman Smith Zeigler, her beloved stepfather. John Zeigler, Jr. and a brother, John Zeigler, III.  She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Homer Traywick Felder; a niece, Tyra Zeigler Shuler Coffey; a nephew, Troy Zeigler (Lou Ann); two great nieces, Miranda Zeigler and Brystal Shuler Ridgill; one great-nephew, Mitchell Zeigler and a sister-in-law, Ann Zeigler.

Mrs. Felder graduated from Elloree High School and Orangeburg Regional School of Nursing.  She worked as a registered nurse for fifty years-19 of which was as Dr. Mark McGannon’s assistant.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, and a member of Ring O’Ramblers (a square-dancing group) for 30 years.

She loved God and her beloved husband, Homer.
