Barbara (Welch) Morris

Barbara Welch Morris, 85 of Cordova passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 after a brief illness.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy (Johnny) Bloodworth, Cathy (Greg) Campbell, Diana (Lamar) Roberson; grandchildren, Jesse (Hollie) Bloodworth, Josh (Amber) Bloodworth, Cody Campbell, Cole Campbell, Wesley (Meagan) Lee, Brandy Roberson; great-grandchildren, Alex Bloodworth, Alex Tompkins, Katie Skowron, Alex Lee; brother, Johnny (Rose) Welch; sisters-in-law, Linda Franklin, Peggy Smith, Barbara S. Morris, Betsy (Jack) Meier; brother-in-law,  Joe (Dixie) Morris; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mrs. Maroma Smoak, Margo McMicken, and Marc Brown.

Mrs. Morris was born on September 20, 1938 in Holly Hill, S.C.  She was the daughter of the late John F. Welch and the late Alta B. Welch.  She grew up in St. George , but lived most of her life in Orangeburg.  She was retired from Wayne Lorick Allstate and was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Cordova, S.C.  Mrs. Morris enjoyed reading and working in her flower beds. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3144 Cordova Road, Cordova.  Rev. Brian Self will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 prior to the funeral service at the church.
