Bishop Lewis E. “Boyd” Goude has had an address change after pastoring at ten churches with the Church of God for over thirty-three years. He retired to Simpsonville for twenty years then has lived in Cope, S.C. for the last four years. On Thursday, May 25, 2023, he moved to his new Heavenly home. This was made possible by the gift of God’s loving son, Jesus, who gave Himself as a sacrifice for Lewis’ sins so that he could be forgiven by God’s grace.
He leaves behind his wife of sixty-seven years, RosaLee; his children, Robin, Lynn (Tommy), Teresa, Tim (Mary) and Lisa (Willie); his ten grandchildren; his fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Calvin and Steve. He was predeceased by his grandson, Adam and his sister, Jean.
