Bob Harold Robinson Sr., 75, died on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at his residence in Roebuck, SC where he resided with his caregivers and friends, Jason and Billie Brock. Mr. Robinson was the widower of Rebecca Ann Robinson. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, S.C. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Reverand Alan Woodward will be officiating.
Mr. Robinson was born on January 15, 1948, to Charlie Daniel Gleaton and Ergenia Robinson Gleaton. He retired from Edisto Gas Company after 36 years of service. Bobby enjoyed wrestling, bowling, visiting the flea market, and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He included most of his friends as family. He had a sense of humor, a caring heart, and a kindness that made him a blessing to those around him.
Survivors include his son, Bob Robinson Jr. (Samira) of Paducah, KY, a step-daughter, Robin Rabon (Aubrey) of Conway, S.C., step-daughter-in-law Susan Saccuzzo-Smith, and a special young lady that he helped raise, Rebecca Lynn Parris of Carrollton, GA.; grandchildren, Will Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Megan Murphy, Matthew Smith, Myles Smith, Raven Clarke, Michael Horton, Heather Horton, Wyatt Robinson, Emma Robinson, and Issac Robinson; and brother, Wayne Robinson (Margaret) of Ridge Spring, SC. Mr. Robinson is also survived by numerous great-grands, nieces, nephews, and a special sister-in-law, June Patrick of Tiller, AR.
Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette Robinson; stepson, Michael Smith; brothers Jack Gleaton, Glen Gleaton, Billy Gleaton, and David Gleaton; and sisters, Linda Martin. Crystal Hoover, Julie Gleaton, Terry Fields McLain, and Savon Bowick.
A private burial will take place at a later date in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetary, Orangeburg, SC.
