Bobby Joe Binnicker, Sr.

Bobby Joe Binnicker, Sr., 75, of Rowesville passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Wayne Manning will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Road, Orangeburg.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Binnicker was born in Orangeburg County to the late Chester A. Binnicker and the late Clifford Brunson Binnicker.  He was employed with Ballard Parts for many years until his retirement.  He was a die-hard USC Gamecock football fan.  Once football season started you knew what his plans for Saturday afternoon were.  He never missed a game.  Mr. Binnicker enjoyed helping others, especially when it came to vehicle repairs.  He would do anything he was asked.  His love and support for his family will truly be missed. 

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Merilyn Arant Binnicker of the home; children, Stacy Smith (Jason) of Gilbert, Kevin Binnicker, Sr. of Gilbert, Bobby “B.J.” Binnicker, Jr. (Amanda) of Lexington; grandchildren, Chelsie Smith of Gilbert, Tori Green of Cayce, Jason Smith, Jr. of Summerville, Kevin “K.J.” Binnicker, Jr. (Sammie) of Gilbert, Olivia and Luke Binnicker of Lexington; six great-grandchildren; a fur baby, “Muffin” and a number of nieces and nephews.
