Edward Eugene Hildebrand, Jr.

Edward “Big Bubba” Eugene Hildebrand, Jr., 59, of St. Matthews passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at First Assembly of God Church, 1176 Calhoun Road, ST. Matthews.  Pastor Mark Call will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, prior to the service.

Mr. Hildebrand was born in Richland County on June 16, 1964.  He was the son of the late Edward Eugene Hildebrand, Sr. and the late Marie Howard Hildebrand.  He was a mechanic by trade.  He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in St. Matthews.  You could find him most days tinkering on cars or watching drag racing.  He was a devoted father and granddaddy.

Survivors include his sons, James “Kyle” Hildebrand (Meagan), Jeffrey Johnson (Brandi); grandchildren, Graylee and Sutton Hildebrand and Mark and Kate Johnson; sisters, Debra Chandler (Paul), Elaine Hildebrand; brother, Ronnie Hildebrand and a number of additional nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be to First Assembly of God Church at 1176Calhoun Road, St. Matthews, S.C. 29135.
