Harold Hampton White

Harold succumbed to his battle with cancer on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive family and friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg S.C. Pastor Larry Kennedy will be officiating.

Mr. White was born on June 29, 1941 In Orangeburg. He was the son of the late David Hampton White and the late Eva Jackson Harley. Mr. White was predeceased in death by a sister, Elizabeth White Cramer; brother, Charles David White and a loving wife Dixie A. White.

Mr. White was employed by Utica Tool company for many years until its closure. Cooper Tools employed him and relocated him to Clarendon County where he eventually retired and spent many days fishing when he was able, and his love of gardening and building bird houses. He was a loving husband, the best father, a wonderful Papa and a friend to everyone! He is dearly going to be missed and cherished by many.

Survivors include six children; Patricia Fogle, Harold (Tonya) White Jr., Timmy (Michelle) Newsome, Kenny (Carla) Newsome, Laynette (Bruce) Proctor, Angelia (Sam) Whisenhunt; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made the Lake Marion Baptist Church, in memory of Harold H. White, at 1182 Scott Lake Road Summerton, S.C. 29148. A place and church family he loved.
