Herbert "Allen" Strock

Herbert “Allen” Strock, 79, of Elloree passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, with his wife and his daughter by his side.

Mr. Strock was born on March 8, 1944, in Orangeburg County.  He was the son of the late Arthur Strock and the late Mildred Traxler Strock.  He was a member of Elloree United Methodist Church in Elloree.  He was the previous Master of the Elloree Masonic Lodge #62.  He enjoyed hunting and planting a vegetable garden in his spare time, but his favorite thing was being a “Papa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margie Lawrence and a brother, Arthur Strock, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hazelteen B. Strock; children, Rick Strock (Sandi), Lisa Russell (Billy); grandchildren, William Russell (Kelsey), Austin Russell (Heather); great-grandchildren, Westlyn, and Wyatt; brother, Donald Strock (Brenda) and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Strock will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery, 7341 Old Number Six Hwy., Santee, S.C.  29142
