John "Mike" Ott, Sr.

John “Mike” Ott, Sr., 69, of St. Matthews passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M.  on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg.

Mr. Ott was born on May 25, 1950 in Orangeburg.  He was the son of the late H. Thad Ott and Mrs. Doris Wannamaker Ott.  He served in the United States National Guard.  He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Ott Nickells.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Susan Rentz Ott of the home; children, John “Mikie” Ott, Jr., Doug Hughey (Stacey) of Orangeburg, Brad Hughey of Orangeburg; grandchildren, Alyssa Hughey, Xavier Hughey, Xander Hughey, Tiffany Moore, Walker Moore, Hazel Moore,  Morgan Hughey; his mother, Doris Wannamaker Ott;  a niece and a nephew.
