Joseph “Joey” Royal Delk, 62, of Orangeburg, SC passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 11, 2021. He was a son of the late George Roddy and Ida Hutto Delk.

He was born on December 26, 1958 in Bamberg, SC. He lived most of his life in Orangeburg, SC as an accomplished mechanic for over 40 years, many of those with Jeffcoat Auto Sales.

Surviving are his brother George Allen Delk (Lawanda) of Denmark, SC; sister Dondra Delk Goff of Chapin, SC; niece, Harriett V Wise (Alan) of Aiken, SC; nephews, R. Allen Goff, Jr. (Martha) of Columbia, SC; Stacey Delk of Barnwell, SC; Ashley Weber (Mindy) of Orlando, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Rita Day of Aiken, SC; Carol “Tootsie” Weber of Ft. Myers, FL as well as nephews, G. Wesley Goff of Columbia, SC; Bryan Delk of Branchville, SC.

The family would like to thank Cindy Dyches Owen of Orangeburg, SC for providing Joey with care and happiness in his last years.

A celebration of life will be held at Hilda Southern Methodist Church fellowship hall on Saturday, May 22 at 2:00 PM in Hilda, SC.
