Kayla Bonita Beason

Miss Kayla Bonita Beason, 32, of Cordova passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery Cannon Bridge Road, Cordova.  Rev. Cindy Williams will be officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be James “Bubba” Beason, Lloyd Shineberry, Trey Parsons, Jersey Kin, Ashton Love, and Jerry Willis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Creg Wilson.

Kayla was born on December 12, 1991, in Orangeburg.  She was the daughter of the late James Lee Beason, Jr. and J. Teresa Beason.  Kayla had a love for life that was contagious.  Her smile would light up the room.   Kayla loved listening to music and dancing.  Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those that loved her.

Survivors include her mother, Teresa Beason (Roger Phillips); siblings, Dana Marie Beason, Christy Edens, Victoria Beason, “Bubba” Beason; nieces and nephews, Tyler Beason, Taylor Garrick, Creg Wilson, Ciara Wilson, Juan Still, Jr., Jocelynn Beason, Kamil Reed; uncles, Nick Lee (Angie), Chris Rutland, Ricky Rutland (Misty) and a number of additional friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father and her maternal grandmother, Shirley Chavis Spires.
