Mary Elizabeth “Meg” Gantt Ulmer, 46, wife of Gene Ulmer, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Meg was born on November 26, 1977. She was the daughter of James “Ted” T. Gantt (Janice) and Dale J. Yarbrough (Warren). She was a graduate of Orangeburg Preparatory School. She went on to receive an associate degree from Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College in radiology. Meg was employed with McCleod Health. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. Her memory will live on in the heart of those that loved her.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years; daughters, Ava Camdyn Ulmer, Katlyn Elizabeth Ulmer; son, Brent Collin Ulmer; brother, MAJ James T. Gantt, Jr. (Lisa); aunt and uncle Faye J. Lewis (Dorla); aunt and uncle Charlene J. Mabe (Phillip); cousins Barrett Mabe (Ashlee), Abe Lewis (Amber), Cindy Gibbons (Mitch), Adrienne Thomas (Todd), Paula Guerrero (Mike), Patrick Johnson (Danielle) and an additional number of family and friends.
Meg was preceded in death by her grandparents, David “Bill” and Mary Johnson, James R. and Beth Gantt, Pearl E. Gantt; uncles James P. Johnson, Robert “Bobby” Gantt, Seldon “Andy” Gantt; cousins Chase Mabe, and Marifaye Haseldon.
A service to Celebrate Meg’s Life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Four Holes Baptist Church, 1622 Four Holes Road, Orangeburg. Pastor Don Bell will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Meg’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to a charity of one’s choice.
