Nancy Gail Hughes

Nancy Gail Hughes, 62, of Orangeburg passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024.

Nancy was born on July 29, 1961 in Orangeburg. She was the daughter of the late Arthur “Ray” Hughes and Loree A. Hughes.  She worked for many years as a registered nurse with Jolley Acres Healthcare.   She enjoyed working with her plants and flowers outside and  spending time with her sister. She was a natural born caretaker and loved to help take care of her family members. 

A graveside service will be held at Pinehill United Methodist Church in Neeses on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the graveside service.

Survivors include her daughter, Angel Gunnells (Jeremy) of Cope; son, Austin Hicks of Hartsville; sisters, Vickie Gold of Sacramento, CA; Cindy Hughes of Orangeburg; brothers, Charlie Hughes of Orangeburg, Arty Hughes of Orangeburg, Kelly Hughes of Charlotte; eight grandchildren,  Gabe Nettles, Savannah Ruple, Mason Hartzog, Cameron Gunnells, Cylee Gunnells, Cade Gunnells, Shawn Hicks, and Leah Hicks; her partner in life, Boyd Plumb and a number of nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Hughes.
