Oreta (Nettles) Williams

Oreta Nettles Willaims, 90, of West Columbia, S. C., passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 2:00 P. M. at Columbia Road Church of God, 2485 Columbia Rd., Orangeburg, S. C. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Rd., Orangeburg, S. C.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Andrew Price, Todd Troutman, Travis Troutman, Mark Trent, Noah Troutman, and Nicholas Dukes.

She was predeceased by her parents John W. Nettles and Ellie Mae Craven Nettles, her husband, Grover L. Williams, daughter, Marilyn Elaine Lawson, son, Melvin O’Neal Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Lynnett Price (Lee) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Heather Troutman, Todd Troutman, Travis Troutman (Jennifer), Andrew Price, Lacey Lynn Trent (Mark); eleven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Williams was employed by Southern Bell (AT&T) as a telephone operator.
