Obituary
Peggy Ann Metze Mitchum, 71, of West Columbia passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street Orangeburg. Rev. Alan Woodland will be officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Rd, Orangeburg.
Mrs. Mitchum was born on January 5, 1952, in Richland, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Willie Carlisle Metze and the late Edna Emogene Pelfrey. She was a hard worker that loved helping people. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Paul J. Mitchum; brother, Willie Metts; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
