Robert T. “Bob” Belcher, 79, passed away at his home with his wife and daughter by his side on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Donna Creel Belcher; daughter, Lynniece Kendall (Chad) of Albemarle, N.C.; son, Danny Belcher (Terri) of Richfield, N.C.; stepdaughter, Joyce Wilbanks of Cordova, S.C.; step-sons, Steve Wilbanks of Columbia, S.C., Tony Wilbanks of Columbia, S.C. and Ronnie Blevins (Leslie) of Irmo, S.C.; grandchildren, Heather Greene, Nancy Jeffords, Stephanie Tate (David), Alex Tarrant (Zack), Makayla Melton (Seth), Lindsey Tucker, Joshua Tucker (Cheyenne), Averie Blevins; step-granddaughter, Ashlie Brickle; step-grandson, Andrew Brickle; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Jones of OK, Nancy Cox of TX and special friends, John Waddell and Arthur Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Belcher and Doris Ruth Seymour Belcher Frye, brothers, Tommy Edwards, Jimmy Belcher, David Belcher, and a stepdaughter, Gayle Blevins.
Bob was retired from the United States Air Force where he was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from AYP after many years of service. He was a member of the VFW, a past member of Star Riders Motorcycle Club and he attended Cornerstone Community Church and the Brewer Bible Study. He enjoyed spending most of his time with his family, riding his motorcycle, flying and watching FOX News.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Cornerstone Church, 1481 Chestnut Street, Orangeburg. Rev. David Mitchell and Pastor Dustin Bates will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Reggie Brewer, Mike Covington, Donald Ceasar, William Cheddar, John Wadell and John Suvie.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the VFW.
Burial will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, S.C. with military honors.
