Obituary
Ronald “Ronnie” David Craven, 70, of Orangeburg passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2023, surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg. Rev. Larry Williams will be officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Ronnie was born in Orangeburg County to the late Julius Craven and the late Agness DeWitt Craven. He was a member of Four Holes Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and watching his children play baseball and softball. He was a jack of all trades and loved collecting antiques. Anyone that knew Ronnie knew he loved talking to people. He never met a stranger. His smile, quick wit and infectious laugh will forever be missed.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tommie “Lynne” Craven; children, Catlin DeWitt Craven (Haley), Haley Shae Craven (Nick); brother, Ralph Craven (Louis) and a number of nieces, nephews and additional family and friends.
